Performance Athletics Gymnastics has been serving the San Luis Obispo County central coast community since 2003 and states core objectives of having fun, being safe, building confidence, educating, and inspiring, with a whole-child approach and athlete wellness as the number one focus. The program states that every child is a star and receives equal attention from teachers, and that safety and risk reduction are top priorities in compliance with state and county mandates. Staff hold USAG and/or NGA Safety, annual concussion, abuse prevention, CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications, are background checked or screened via NCSI and/or SLO PD, and are described as skilled in age-appropriate gymnastics development, motor skills and movement development, and Early Childhood Education evidence-based teaching methods.

PA Gym earned Bronze Best of the Central Coast Summer Camps, and owner Leslie Breeze and the coaching staff have received awards at state, regional, and national levels in artistic gymnastics, cheerleading, tumbling, dance, and/or sports acrobatics, and have coached students who achieved state, regional, and national awards in artistic gymnastics and cheerleading, including collegiate gymnastics and cheer through athletic distinctions, walk-ons, and partial and full-ride collegiate scholarships.
The mission of Performance Athletics Gymnastics is “Where fun and fitness flip together in a safe, nurturing environment that welcomes people of all ages and abilities, Performance Athletics Gymnastics educates and inspires our students to cultivate the joy of an active lifestyle.” The program describes a positive work and athlete training environment that nurtures a culture of caring and mutual respect and promotes personal and professional growth, and offers Refer-a-Friend benefits. One grandparent reports that a grandson began at 18 months and at age 8 has taken many classes and camps and “has loved and benefited from them all,” and another parent notes seeing how much fun a child is having, how strong he has become, and that “it gives him confidence in his body and himself.”
